When your gear is exposed to moisture, proper storage in a case is important to protect it. A protective case provides tight and durable protection, and with proper use, you can ensure that the contents stay dry and safe.

Many case padding materials, such as Pick N Pluck foam, absorb moisture. If the padding gets wet, it must be dried thoroughly before the next use. For this reason, closed cell foam is often preferred in professional use, as it does not absorb moisture and is also used in CC-Case's custom protection.

If wet equipment is placed in a protective case, the moisture will remain inside the bag. Therefore, items should always be dried thoroughly before storage. Long-term storage in damp conditions can lead to, for example, mold on clothing or rusting of metal parts.

For extra protection, re-usable silica gel cartridges act as a backup and absorb excess moisture from your case. A small investment that can save you a lot.

Remember: If the inside of your bag or the items you are carrying have gotten wet, dry them before packing and storing them. This will properly protect your gear and extend its lifespan.
