The Peli™ Storm Case collection has very similar features to the Peli™ Protector cases, and for good reason. Storm is part of the Hardigg group, which was once Peli's competitor. However, in 2009, Peli acquired Hardigg and the Storm collection was incorporated into the Peli Products product range.
The most significant difference between these models is the latches. Storm cases have easy-to-use push-button latches, which are convenient in situations where the case needs to be opened frequently and quickly, or in extreme cold, for example. Protector cases, on the other hand, use a more traditional flip-up latch. In addition, the Storm cases have ergonomic carrying handles for increased comfort. There are also differences in the size range; the Protector collection has sizes that are not found in the Storm series and vice versa, although most of the size options are similar. Storm cases are also available in different colors, with lower minimum order quantities.
Many users choose the Storm because of its easier-to-use latches and more ergonomic carrying handle. On the other hand, the Protector series comes in a wider range of sizes. However, the final choice depends on the user's own needs and preferences. However, both are excellent choices.
